Tuition is due in full before training begins, unless a tuition plan is agreed in writing. Lesson packages are valid for 12 months from purchase. Board & Train dates are reserved on receipt of tuition and are subject to availability.
Private lessons: cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are charged in full. Lesson packages are non-refundable but may be transferred to another dog in the same household. Board & Train: if the client ends the program early, a $250 early-termination fee applies and the remaining balance is forfeited. Ten8K9 reserves the right to end a program early if a dog's health or safety requires it; in that case a prorated refund is issued.
The client authorizes Ten8K9 to seek emergency veterinary care if the dog is injured or becomes ill while in Ten8K9's care, up to $500. All veterinary costs are the client's responsibility. The client must provide proof of current vaccinations (rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella) before any Board & Train stay.
Training doesn't end when the program does. The client agrees to attend the go-home lesson, follow the training plan provided, and maintain the structure the dog was taught. Consistency at home is what makes results last.
Ten8K9 trains every dog to the highest professional standard. However, no specific behavioral outcome can be guaranteed — results depend on the individual dog and on the owner's follow-through after the program.
Dog training involves inherent risk. The client assumes all risk of injury to the dog, the client, or third parties arising from training, except in cases of gross negligence. The client agrees to hold harmless Ten8K9 & Checkmate Canine, LLC, its owners, trainers, and staff from any and all claims, damages, or liability arising from the dog's behavior, training, boarding, or care.
Behavior modification programs require a minimum 60-day stay for expected results. If the client removes the dog before completing the agreed term, this agreement is null and void, a new agreement must be drafted, and a $250 penalty will be added.
By signing, the client confirms the information provided is accurate, vaccination records have been or will be provided before drop-off, bite and aggression history disclosed is complete and truthful, and the client has read, understands, and agrees to all terms in this contract.
